The Story
After Lupus caused her kidneys to fail, Jessica Goldman Foung refocused her life and work to study food, health, and the many ways they interact. In 2009, she started the blog Sodium Girl (www.sodiumgirl.com) and has written two cookbooks, Low-So Good (Chronicle Books 2016) and Sodium Girl’s Limitless Low-Sodium Cookbook (HMH 2012). Jessica is the leading, modern voice for low-sodium diets and a low-sodium lifestyle. She's an award-nominated writer, photographer, and recipe developer. And she works closely with several national brands and organizations to amplify health and wellness-focused campaigns and advocacy.
